Phiên bản mới của Corel VideoStudio Pro, một trong những phần mềm biên tập video nổi tiếng nhất, được cải thiện tốc độ làm việc và tăng cường thêm một số tính năng hấp dẫn.
Cùng với Cyberlink PowerDirector, Corel VideoStudio Pro là phần mềm biên tập video được nhiều người dùng Việt Nam ưa chuộng. Tuy giao diện đồ họa vẫn tương tự phiên bản X4 ra mắt cách đây hơn một năm song Corel VideoStudio Pro X5 chứa đựng một số cải tiến đáng chú ý như sau:
1. Hỗ trợ nhập và xuất file video dưới nhiều định dạng hơn (bao gồm video 3D) của các thiết bị di động (smartphone, iPod, iPad, camcorder) với nhiều lựa chọn về tốc độ khung hình/giây.


2. Cho phép tận dụng toàn bộ sức mạnh của vi xử lý đa nhân và card đồ họa để tăng tốc render video.

3. Thêm tính năng Screen Capture hỗ trợ quay phim màn hình và chèn video vào dự án đang biên tập.
Bạn bấm vào biểu tượng phía trên khung Timeline, bấm tiếp biểu tượng Screen Capture để kích hoạt chức năng quay phim màn hình.

Ở hộp thoại hiện ra, bạn nhấp vào nút tam giác bên phải hộp Fullscreen và chọn Custom nếu muốn tự xác định vùng muốn quay phim thay vì quay toàn màn hình. Menu xổ xuống còn có các lựa chọn quay phim cửa sổ các chương trình đang mở.

Kế đến, bạn bấm nút Settings để thấy các mục khác như: Filename (tên file video), Save to (thư mục lưu file video), Format (chỉ hỗ trợ lưu video quay được thành định dạng wmv), Voice và System audio (giữ hoặc tắt tiếng nói của người dùng và âm thanh phát ra từ máy tính).Xong, bạn bấm nút để bắt đầu quay phim. Khi muốn dừng quay, bạn nhấn phím F10. Phím F11 có chức năng tạm dừng quay và quay tiếp.

4. Tạo dự án video dạng HTML5 (thông qua menu File > New HTML5 Project) ngay trên giao diện Corel VideoStudio Pro X5 với cách thực hiện tương tự như khi biên tập video bình thường.

Lúc hoàn tất, bạn chuyển sang thẻ thẻ Share và bấm nút Create HTML5 File. Hộp thoại hiện ra cho biết thư mục lưu dự án video HTML5 mặc định là C:\Users\Tên người dùng\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\My Projects, song bạn có thể chọn lại thư mục khác. Số lượng file và dung lượng của dự án videp HTML5 hiển thị dưới trường Total files và Total size. Xong, bạn mở thư mục đã chọn ở trên, nhấp đôi vào file index.html để xem video bằng máy phát HTML5 trên nền web.
